Today is production its going to be really cool because we are going to have lights with our costumes and there’s gong to be a nighttime production too. I am really excited because we get to wear hats. here’s how we look…

we also get to wear face paint that is silver, blue, white and green.
I am also very nervous if I get the actions wrong and people stare at me. And my family is going to be watching too.The daytime production is for the grandparents and the nighttime production is for the parents. I think the nighttime one is going to be wayyy cooler than the daytime one because science we have lights they are going to glow in the dark.
We are doing glowworms because of a purakau about glowworms on the river banks and some pakeha putting a culvert in the river so you cant see the glowworms glow anymore. And there’s a maori legend that says that the parata tood on top of mt maungataniwha looked down and said lots of worms twinkling and glowing.
There are also other classes doing production performances too like kowai are doing tuna.
Rimu class is doing frogs.
Puriri class are doing mullet.
Totara class is doing stingrays.
Nikau is doing the history of mangonui and the shark.
Manuka is doing pig hunting.
Kauri class are doing the legend of kupe.
And our class is doing glowworms.
The production was really fun we danced in front of lots of grandparents and it wasn’t even scary it was actually really cool. At the start and the end of the production we sang a song as a whole school. One of the songs we sang was he kakano. When we did our dance we had our lights flashing and glowing.
the end.
